Overseas, several Mountaineers are going into their second and third weeks of regular season play. This past weekend, Deniz Kilicli made his regular season debut in Turkey, while Devin Ebanks had a nice game for the Mavericks on Monday night.
Deniz Kilicli, Anadolu Efes (Turkey) -Kilicli played just one minute in his first game as a pro. He missed both shots he took, but did earn an assist.
Devin Ebanks, Dallas Mavericks (NBA) -The Mavericks fell at home to the Orlando Magic on Monday night by a score of 102-94. Ebanks came off the bench and played a solid 12 minutes, scoring 9 points and adding 3 rebounds, 1 steal and blocked a shot. On Tuesday, the league handed down a 2-game suspension to Ebanks after he entered a no-contest plea to driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspension will take effect during the first two regular season games he is eligible to play in.
Da'Sean Butler, Okapi Aalstar (Belgium) -Butlerhad 20 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and a block in a Belgian Cup win for Okapi on Wednesday.
John Flowers, JL Bourg (France) -Flowers had a game-high 22 points for Bourg on Wednesday to go along with 5 rebounds as Bourg defeated Rouen 78-69.
Alex Ruoff, BG Goettingen (Germany) -Ruoff had 3 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists off the bench for Goettingen on Oct. 12 as they won against Giessen 88-81.
Darryl Truck Bryant, Furstenfeld (Austria) -Bryant continued his strong play in Austria for Furstenfeld with a game-high 29 points against UBSC Graz on Oct. 13. Unfortunately, it was not enough as Furstenfeld lost the game 103-99.
Joe Alexander, Golden State Warriors (NBA) -Alexander has yet to play this preseason for the Warriors as he continues to deal with a stress fracture in his left leg.
D'or Fischer, Washington Wizards (NBA) -Fischer did not play in the Warriors contest on Saturday night vs. the Bulls.
