In the previous weeks we've seen Tavon Austin score two touchdowns in a game, Ryan Mundy lead the Giants' defense, and Geno Smith lead game-winning drives. None of that happened this week, but that's bound to happen.
Let's take a look into how our guys performed.
Ryan Mundy - Mundy played in the Thursday night game. Out-shined by newly acquired Jon Beason, Mundy only accrued two tackles on the night.
Tavon Austin - The Rams put up 38 total points and Sam Bradford threw for three touchdowns. Unfortunately, only one of his passes found Austin for only three yards. The Rams have yet to figure out how to use Austin the way he was utilized in college, but it could also be Austin adapting to the NFL. The season is going into the midway point and Austin will be looking to get the ball more going forward.
Stedman Bailey - Bailey has yet to make his first catch.
Geno Smith - After defeating the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome, Smith and the Jets dropped a game to the Steelers at home Sunday. Smith completed 19-of-34 passes for 201 yards and two interceptions. The turnovers were the first forced by the Steelers all season. Smith also added eight rushing yards on three carries.
Ellis Lankster - Lankster didn't record any tackles for the Jets Sunday.
Will Johnson - Johnson caught two passes for a total of two yards for the Steelers.
Terence Garvin - Garvin recorded a special teams tackle for the Steelers, bringing his total to four this season.
Keith Tandy - The Tandyman came up with 3 tackles for the Buccaneers as he squared off against his old teammate Najee Goode.
Najee Goode - Goode didn't have any tackles for the Eagles.
Kent Richardson - Richardson didn't record any tackles for the Browns.
Adam Jones - Jones finished third on the Bengals defense with six tackles against the Bills Sunday. He also batted down a pass. In the return game, Jones averaged 2.5 yards on two punt returns.
Bruce Irvin - Irvin, who is primarily playing linebacker now, had two tackles in the Seahawks victory Sunday.
Darius Reynaud - Reynaud returned four kicks for an average of 30.3 yards for the Titans. He also had one carry but it went nowhere.
JT Thomas - Thomas didn't have any tackles for the Jaguars Sunday.
Pat McAfee will play tonight on Monday Night Football when the Colts take on the Chargers.
